This week I started working on a project that has been a long time coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Block Party Bash parade. The parade is scheduled to open officially in mid-March.
Until that time, a select few of us get to design/engineer/build/implement/program a control system that is new to the WDW Resort. It has already been in use for countless years at the Disneyland Resort. As of yet, we haven’t been overwhelmed. That time will come though.
The control system is referred to as DECS (Disney Entertainment Control System). There isn’t too much information available outside of the park walls about the system, there are a few however. Just search a little. In any case, I am beyond thrilled to be involved in this project. I hope this will lead to more projects of this type or even bigger, better things for me!
